VT News - HIV
The Bevan & Brown Lab is part of a Virginia Tech research team that discovered and characterized novel drug design targets of HIV. Insights to the surface features of HIV with computational modeling provide potential routes for future therapeutic agents. The collaborative research effort focused on the gp41 transmembrane domain of the HIV surface protein, which participates in mammalian cell adhesion and infection; complete findings are published in the Biophysical Journal.
